A thrilling adventure story full of danger, mystery, and the search for ancient treasures. Young archaeologist Jack Hunter travels to modern-day Syria to document an ancient cuneiform tablet from the legendary city of Ugarit. His initial mission was supposed to be simple - to take a photo of the rare artifact, but he unexpectedly finds himself drawn into a dangerous game when he is forced to steal the tablet from a private museum in France after being caught red-handed.

Professor Frederick "Freddie" Schaffer, Jack's mentor, is convinced that the text on the tablet is an encrypted map to a lost treasure. At first, Jack refuses to join the risky expedition, but after the brutal murder of his friend associated with the artifact, he decides to act. Suspicion falls on Syrian antiquities dealer Ali, and Jack travels to Damascus to find out the truth.

There he is forced to team up with local archaeologist Nadia and her loyal driver Tariq. Together they embark on a dangerous journey, pursued by enemies and treasure hunters, including the ruthless Albert Littman, who seeks to seize ancient secrets. But on their way lurks another, much greater danger that can change the course of the search forever.
