Emma Bunton breaks down in tears as she's forced to cancel shows amid sudden illness

Emma Bunton said she has been left "heartbroken" over being unable to perform as part of her festive tour this weekend, with two gigs not going ahead under the advice of doctors.

The singer, 46, had been due to perform in York yesterday but said she had been "advised" by a doctor not to perform.She has since issued a similar message regarding a gig in Birmingham tonight.

Alongside a photo of herself looking teary-eyed, she wrote in a post on Instagram this afternoon: "I feel like I have let so many of you down today and it has left me heartbroken."


"With rest and medication I wake every morning with hope. Birmingham I am here but unfortunately won’t be able to perform tonight under doctors orders," she continued.Emma - who embarked on her Christmas tour earlier this week - further commented: "I am overwhelmed by all the suppport and love from my fans. Love you all very much".
